Carden Summer Camp Update

We are looking forward to a better-than-ever summer camp session at Carden this year.  We have a winning staff and some great plans up our sleeves.  We want to update you on a few things, so that you can proceed with making your family’s summer plans.  Please feel free to call us at 460-2600 with any questions.

Location

• Summer camp will be held at our school site at 319 La Fonda Avenue in Santa Cruz.

Schedule

• Monday                        All day on campus
• Tuesday            Beach Day: Off campus 11:30-4:30
• Wednesday       Field Trip Day  Off campus  (varies)
• Thursday           Pool Day: Off campus 11:30-4:30
• Friday                         All day on campus

Staff

• Mrs. Kirsten Wimp, our beloved French teacher of six years, vocalist extraordinaire, and mother of two, will be returning as our fearless camp co-director this summer.
• Mr. Mark Sharea, our eighth grade humanities teacher and two year camp staff veteran will share his passion for the outdoors in a new role as co-director.
• Mrs. Jessica Eymann, our dedicated Office Manager, will hold down the fort in the office from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. throughout the camp season.
• Miss Sarah Trost, our kind and loving Kindergarten teacher, will join us in the mornings, bringing her enthusiasm and skill as a teacher and mentor to camp.
• Mr. Cassidy Rasmussen, or Mr. Quesadilla, a freshman at UCSC will be a counselor for the third year in a row this summer, bringing a love of play, basketball, and ultimate Frisbee to our camp.
• Miss Teddy Danielson, recent Carden graduate, will be returning for her third summer, this time as a full-fledged counselor.
• Mrs. Marci can’t wait to get outdoors and work with children after two years as a registration coordinator at Mt. Hermon Camp and Conference center.
