The Carden School of Santa Cruz is home to 90 students from kindergarten through the eighth grade. Students from Boulder Creek to Scotts Valley and Watsonville attend our Carden School.  Our class size ranges from five to fifteen, giving our students the opportunity to learn and grow in an intimate environment under the guidance of dedicated and loving teachers.

At the Carden School of Santa Cruz, we take pride in our exceptional academic program, our dedication to character development, and our focus on teaching the whole child, mind, body and spirit.  Carden students know that we care.  We spend time to get to know our students, help them up when they fall, and challenge them to work to their potential.

The Carden curriculum and teaching method, having stood the test of time for over 50 years, are the foundation for our success.  Imbued with the values of courtesy, generosity, and self-discipline, the Carden curriculum emphasizes the importance of building a mental image in all the disciplines, math, literature, spelling, art and science.

The students learn to think critically, to solve puzzles, and to express their ideas articulately and with confidence in the Carden classroom.  They learn to think and they learn to work to their ability.

And as a result, they experience success and confidence.
